Executive Board

Austin Pak

President

Austin is a junior from Newport Beach, California, pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics & Economics with a concentration in Value Investing. This past summer, he interned at Alpine Investors as a Private Equity Summer Analyst specializing in software and services investments and will be returning as a full-time analyst. On campus, Austin is a Regents Scholar and Sharpe Fellow, as well as the Treasurer for Phi Kappa Psi. In his free time, he enjoys discovering new restaurants for his Beli, traveling to new countries, and watching Formula One.

Agastya Jain

External Vice President

Agastya is a junior from Louisiana pursuing a B.A. in Business Economics with a concentration in Value Investing. Next summer, he will be interning at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst in the Healthcare Group. Outside of BVI, Agastya is a Career Development Manager for the Undergraduate Business Society and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. In his free time, he enjoys playing poker, discovering new music, and weightlifting.

Sophia Nguyen

Internal Vice President

Sophia is a junior from Houston, Texas, pursuing a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Statistics and Data Science. This past summer, she worked at Expedia Group as a Digital Advertising Intern. Next summer, she will be working at Paypal as a Project Management Intern. Outside of BVI, Sophia is also involved with Creative Labs and works with multiple tech startups. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball with other BVI members and trying different coffee shops around Los Angeles.

Ethan Van

Vice President of Investments

Ethan is a junior from Hong Kong pursuing a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Value Investing. This past summer, he interned at Schroders as a High Yield and Distressed Credit Research Summer Analyst. Next summer, he will be working at Bank of America as a Global Research Summer Analyst. On campus, Ethan is also a Financial Services Manager for the Undergraduate Business Society. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess and poker.

Knoton Fung

Vice President of Education

Knoton is a junior from Hong Kong pursuing a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Value Investing. This past summer, he interned at Morgan Stanley as a Global Capital Markets Summer Analyst specializing in securitized products. On campus, Knoton is also a Sharpe Fellow and an Investment Banking Director for the Undergraduate Business Society. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, snowboarding, hiking, bouldering, traveling, piano, and singing.

Tarini Pisharody

Vice President of Career Development

Tarini is a junior from Basel, Switzerland, pursuing a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Value Investing. This past summer, she worked at TAP Advisors as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. Next summer, she will be working at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst in the Healthcare Group. Outside of BVI, Tarini serves as the President of the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. In her free time, she enjoys skiing and watching Formula One.

William Coffey

Vice President of Career Development

William is a junior from Laguna Beach, California, pursuing a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies. Next summer, he will be joining Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. William is also an Investment Banking Manager and Career Development Manager for the Undergraduate Business Society. In his free time, he enjoys attending Hollywood Bowl concerts and going to the beach.

Matei is a sophomore from Rochester, New York, pursuing a B.A. in Economics. This past summer, he worked at Arrowroot Advisors as an M&A Summer Analyst and plans to recruit for careers in technology investment banking. He is also a Financial Services Manager for the Undergraduate Business Society. In his free time, he enjoys listening to underground rap, playing volleyball, and reading philosophy.

Connor Zhang

Healthcare

Connor is a sophomore from Thousand Oaks, California, pursuing a B.A. in Business Economics and a minor in Brain and Behavioral Health. This past summer, he worked at Fallbrook Capital, focusing on film tax credit consulting, and plans to recruit for careers in healthcare investment banking. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and being outside.

Khai Nguyen

Khai is a sophomore from Burlingame, California, pursuing a B.A in Business Economics. This past summer, he worked at the Opes Group as an Investment Banking Intern and plans to recruit for careers in investment banking. In his free time, he enjoys watching Formula One, playing basketball and tennis, and trying new restaurants.

Leonardo is a sophomore from Vancouver, Canada, pursuing a B.A. in Economics and Linguistics & Computer Science. He has previously interned with Castle Placement and Chapman Office and plans to recruit for careers in investment banking. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, playing poker, and trying different recipes.

Steven Zhang

Steven is a freshman from Irvine, California, pursuing a B.A. in Business Economics. This quarter, he plans to work at Montminy & Co. as an Investment Banking Intern and at Chapman Office as an Equity Research Intern. He is also a member of the Financial Services Committee for the Undergraduate Business Society. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and taking pictures.
